Volunteer
Our volunteers play an essential part in running Lifecraft. Without their commitment, energy and enthusiasm, we wouldn’t be able to provide our extensive range of services all year round.
We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities for people who are passionate about mental health and the work we do. Our volunteers work on Lifeline, run groups, work in our reception and provide a Counselling Service to our Members. They may also help by befriending and mentoring Lifecraft Members, helping with outings and fundraising events, preparing applications for funding grants and perhaps by providing legal, financial or IT advice.
We actively encourage and support Lifecraft Members and those who use or have used mental health services to engage in volunteering with us. Our volunteers are special to us and we ensure every volunteer has a fulfilling and rewarding experience. We work hard to ensure our volunteers have good quality training and support which means there are a number of steps involved in becoming a volunteer, involving an application form and an initial meeting. This means it can take a little time from first applying to become a volunteer to taking up a volunteering role.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities or would like to discuss what you could bring to Lifecraft, please contact us. If you are interested in volunteering in our Counselling Service or on Lifeline please visit their pages for more information and contact information.
