How do I add Lifecraft to a new will?

A solicitor or professional will-writer can help you to draft a will.  Alternatively, if your wishes are straight-forward you could do it yourself, but make sure to follow the steps needed to make it legal. If using a solicitor or professional will-writer, you can simply let them know that you would like to leave a gift to Lifecraft in your will. They will help you to include it in your wishes.

How do I amend my will to include Lifecraft?

If you are making a simple change to an existing will, you should do it using a legal document called a codicil. A codicil amends a will without revoking it. Once completed, it should be stored with your will. If you want to make a significant change to your will, you might want to redraft your will. This would revoke your previous will as long as you complete everything correctly.

What details do I need to include about Lifecraft if I’m leaving a gift?

The full legal description that should always be used to describe the charity in a will is: Lifecraft, The Bath House, Gwydir Street, Cambridge, CB1 2LW (registered charity in England and Wales Number 1195632).

Do I need to let you know that I am leaving a legacy gift to Lifecraft?

You don’t need to let us know if you are planning to leave us a gift in your will. However, if you would like to let us know, whatever you tell us will be treated confidentially and will not be legally binding.

Can Lifecraft accept donations collected via a funeral director?
