Shame No More

Between 2012 and 2014 Lifecraft ran Shame No More an innovative anti-self stigma project. Self-stigma is the prejudice which people with a mental health diagnosis turn against themselves. It is a range of negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours which lower self-esteem.

As a result of this project Lifecraft produced a Shame No More handbook to help people understand what self-stigma is, where it comes from, and how it can affect someone’s life. The handbook includes information about how to break the cycle of self-stigma, to talk about mental health and how to learn to become more assertive.

Single copies of the Shame No More handbook can be either sent by post or collected from our Information Hub. For multiple copies (collection only) please contact us.
