Music Therapy coming soon to Lifecraft

Lifecraft is excited to announce that we will be able to offer both group and individual music therapy sessions for eight weeks from January 2019.

What Is Music Therapy?

Music therapy creates a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to communicate and express themselves. Music making and improvisation can be a creative expression of emotions and can help improve social and communication skills as well as supporting and encouraging confidence building.

Music Therapy is open to any Lifecraft Member:
– facing difficult times
– experiencing anxiety or depression
– suffering with stress
– feeling low

The music therapy group will be on Fridays 12pm-12.45pm from 11th January until 1st March and there are up to 10 places available.

This 8 week group will be a closed group, which means that you must sign up in advance. The group aims to help the group members take on a more active role in their own development of self-awareness. Groups are about connecting, playing, creating, supporting, learning, trusting, laughing, crying, having fun, exploring, understanding, solving, healing and much more with the goal to promote and stimulate positive change and growth.

The 4 individual places will be Fridays 1pm-1.40pm and 1.50pm-2.30pm from 11th January until 1st March.

To book a place in the group or register your interest in an individual place contact Cathy, Counselling Service Manager by Monday 17th December 2018. Please note that Cathy works Wednesdays and Fridays.

The sessions will be run by Cloris Wong and Sunny Hu, qualified music therapists
