The Lifecraft Singers meet from 12 noon to 1.30pm every Wednesday at Lifecraft. The group is free and is open to everyone who has experienced mental distress. We sing songs from around the world (gospel, pop, traditional) in three-part harmony. Everything is taught by ear, so you don't have read music. We welcome everyone, whatever your experience of singing. It's great fun and really uplifting.
"Singing is the centre of my week. I always prioritise going to the Lifecraft singing group. It is the time that fills me up, raises my spirits and leaves me feeling soothed and walking tall."
"The songs we do are really beautiful. I feel so uplifted after the sessions. I always look forward to my singing. Good companionship."
The Lifecraft Singers get asked to perform regularly and love doing that, but you don't have to perform if you don't want to. Recent gigs have been:
* fundraising coffee-morning for Cam-mind
* Lifecraft Arts Festival
* "Sing for Life", a Good Vibrations concert organised by Talking in Tune
