Social Club

The Social Club is open from 4pm to 7pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and 3pm to 7pm on Friday (currently closed on Wednesday).
This includes access to the IT suite and quiet room.

The social club is a place where anybody who has had mental health problems can come to relax, meet people, have a cup of tea or coffee, listen to music and read the papers. It's friendly and informal. Sometimes people play chess, backgammon or board games.

Our new IT suite is also open during social club time offering free internet access to all members. If you need help getting started other members are on hand to support you and we are also hoping to start introduce IT tuition with support from Cambridge Online.

Members can also take part in helping to plan, prepare and cook evening meals and we offer free food hygiene training to anyone interested.

Lifecraft means to me the difference between staying alive and not. It is a place to be when there is nowhere else to go. A first resort. Stability of just knowing its there, just to know its there even if you don’t want to come in.

Lifecraft gets me out and I have made new friends here.

I feel it offers friendship and safety.

It has been there for me when I went through a difficult time. It’s given me experience of working for when I return to work. It’s like an extra family to me.

Lifecraft is like an extended family to me.
